Issued on March 3 1969, to commemorate the first flight of Concorde. The three special original stamps depict Concorde in flight (4d); Plan and Elevation Views (9d) and Concorde’s Nose and Tail (1s 6d). This is an extremely popular set of stamps, enjoyed by former passengers of this iconic aircraft as well as the many people who helped to develop the first supersonic passenger-carrying commercial aeroplane.
