There are approximately 12.5 million pet cats in the UK, with 29% of all households having a cat. Issued in January 1995, this set of five stamps, was the first issue to be dedicated to cats. Each stamp was designed by Elizabeth Blackadder. Elizabeth knew each of the cats individually from her neighbourhood in Edinburgh. The cats featured were: Sophie (19p) Puskas a Siamese and Tigger, a tabby (25p). Chloe (30p); Kikko a tortoiseshell and Rosie Abyssininan (35p) and Fred (41p)

This Stamps are mounted on 4mm MDF with a mottled gold/brown background. This purrfect set is then neatly framed by chocolate brown mount board. An unusual gift for any person who loves cats.
